Privacy Policy

EigoKado is a local-first application. The core app stores all data — including your flashcards, study progress, streaks, and settings — locally on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB). We do not collect, transmit, or store your study data on our servers.

On our marketing website (eigokado.com), if you choose to join our notification list for the Plus plan, we collect only your email address and optionally your name. This data is processed through Resend, our email delivery service.

Your study data remains entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us. If you provide your email for Plus notifications, we use it solely to send you a single notification when the Plus plan launches. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.

All flashcard data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. We have no access to this data. Your data is as secure as your device. If you clear your browser data, your flashcards and progress will be permanently deleted.

Email addresses submitted for Plus notifications are stored securely through Resend's infrastructure.

The EigoKado web app loads Google Fonts for typography. This means Google may receive your IP address when fonts are loaded. No other third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used in the application.

Our marketing website uses Resend for email delivery if you opt into Plus notifications.

EigoKado does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The app uses browser localStorage solely for essential functionality like storing your theme preference and language setting.

EigoKado does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the core app requires no account and stores data locally, children can use it without providing any personal information.

Since your data is stored locally, you have full control over it. You can export, delete, or modify your flashcards at any time through your browser's developer tools or by clearing browser data.

If you've provided your email for Plus notifications, you can request removal by contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
